This is a charming Anglo Indian Teak Wood Table Top Desk with the original inkwells. The back splash rises to look like a domed temple. In the center are two areas for storage and the carvings are of a fox and chicken. On either side are cut outs for the two crystal inkwells. On all three sides are carvings in the shape of bellflowers and leaves. The same carvings frame the outer edge of the lift up writing area. There is plenty of storage inside the desk, which locks with a key. The desk is in pristine condition without any chips or cracks to the carvings. It has a few ink spots that add character to the desk, as we know it was used with pen and ink many years ago Late 19th Century or Early 29th Century. The following are measurements 14” High x 16” W x 12” D.

The door has a lock and when opened shows an area where six pipes can be hung and a recessed center for placing a Porcelain Humidor. There are two drawers for further storage with one drawer having a brass handle. The drawers can’t be opened unless the door is unlocked. The condition is excellent with a stress crack going down the back of the Humidor. This stress crack comes with age as the piece dates to the mid-19th Century.

This very unusual bell-candlestick is solid brass. The candle-stick alone is beautiful but serves a dual purpose as you pull the chain; the wheel rotates and rings the bell when dinner is served. In our Time Life Encyclopedia Book shown with a picture it states this unusual bell-candlestick has been identified as a type of excommunication bell, used to signify expulsion from the church. I think a better explanation is it was used in English Taverns to order another drink. The bell candle-stick is in perfect condition and is 12″ high x 6″ Base Diameter. Circa 1890

This is a wonderful plateau mirror dating to 1890 — more Victorian Era than Art Nouveau. The Plateau is quadruple silver plated having a perfect glass mirror with a beveled edge. The plateau is supported by six charming feet. On the original underside are the following markings 12 IN. #216 Eureka Silver Co, and Quadruple Silver Plated. Everything is perfect about this wonderful plateau mirror except for a loss of silver plating in some areas. Actually this only gives it more character and with the glass being perfect it makes for a wonderful piece for displaying your favorite antique. Picture how lovely your favorite centerpiece, perfume bottles, flowers, etc. would look displayed on this beautiful Plateau Mirror. The measurements are 12” diameter by 2” High with the feet extending another ½”.

Exquisite describes this Chippendale Governor Winthrop Heavily Carved Solid Mahogany Desk. Starting at the top is a brass and wood galley. The slant top has wonderful carvings of a shell and flowing vines all carved not applied. As you open the slant top writing area two supports automatically ease out to offer support. Looking inside are four small drawers and four cubby holes. In the center is a door with a shell carving and when opened exposes two more small drawers and two cubby holes. The storage area has four large drawers all with bird’s eye maple drawer bottoms. The top drawer is carved with three shells and the other three are blocked front with wonderful ornate solid brass handles. Ornate solid brass escutcheons cover the keyholes and every drawer has a working lock. On either side of the desk are rope columns and around the bottom is gadrooning. The desk is supported by four heavily carved ball and claw feet. There is a brass plaque inside the door that states Aunt Anna to Beba 1888. How wonderful that Aunt Anna dated this wonderful desk which is in original pristine condition. The measurements are as follows: Height 44” to top of galley x 33” wide x 19” depth.
